The Black and White Collection

February 25th, 2010

Not sure if any of you have noticed. But we recently updated the snowboards page. It is a deviation from our 08/09 Collection’s graphics but it makes for some nice looking boards. Our 09/10 Collection is all black and white. Maybe inspired by The Beatles White album or maybe it was Metallica’s black album. Either way these graphics put a new spin on all our hype colors from last season.

Kiriako Iatridis

January 19th, 2010

Our long time friend and photographer Kiriako Iatridis has opened up his own photography and art direction business. Kiri has been shooting photos for Class Five since the beginning and he continually amazes. Everyone at Class Five is stoked for Kiri and wishes him all the best in his new venture. As always, we’ll continue using Kiri’s amazing services.

A Part of Our Heritage

April 23rd, 2009

This vid is super rad. Takes you back. I remember my first board…I had to bring a drill to the hill in case I ripped my bindings out of my board. Thanks for nuulifecinema.com for bringing it to our attention.

Welcome to the Team Mark and Craig

January 21st, 2009

Class Five is proud to announce we have added two new team members: Mark and Craig McMorris.

These two shredders have been traveling Canada for the last few years with Team Sask and have continually turned heads with their riding. They consistently throw down at Provincial and National events causing spectators and fellow competitors to ask “are these guys really from Saskatchewan?” Not to mention Mark and Craig are only 15 and 17 years old (respectively).

Class Five could not be happier. We have no doubt both Mark and Craig will go far in this sport and we are stoked to have them with us.

Welcome aboard McMorris Bro’s.

Congratulations!

Here at Class Five Snowboards we have known John Antoski for a long time. In fact we all used to live together in tight quarters just outside of Fernie, BC. Those days of hiding our clean plates and forks from John are gone. So are the days of finding his art pasted up in lifty shacks all over the mountain. Now it fills the pages of Transworld Snowboarding Magazine. That’s right, John has found a home at TWS. John took over as Associate Creative Director this year and has influenced every TWS mag you have looked at this winter season. Down in California he can be found shredding the ocean, a mountain or concrete with the pros. John is also our Creative Director here at Class Five and is the key factor to why our graphics look so radical. So we would like to extend a congrats to our long time homey. Congratulations John for following your dreams!

Storm Channel Session

January 10th, 2009

Here is a few photos from a little session that took place on a sweet secret rail spot. Kurtis Rothecker and Eric Poulin threw down while Kiriako Iatridis documented the moment. All three of these dudes got mad skills.

Happy New Year

December 31st, 2008

Well it is New Year’s Eve. Some of you will choose to tear into our next lap around the sun like a wild tiger chasing fleeting prey till the break of day. Others may spend the evening sipping tea and gazing at the falling flakes in anticipation of smashing tomorrows snowbanks with friendly mates. Whatever fancies you, enjoy it. Just like this little gaffer enjoys his oversize mushrooms and money bags. Boldog Ujévet!!

Hey everyone in the world…Go snowboarding! December 21st is the official World Snowboard Day. So if you can, get out there and celebrate on the snow. Many events are planned across this snowy planet of ours. Check out the World Snowboard Day website for more details. There is also the Canadian group on Facebook where you can find out what the rest of the Canucks are up to. Just get outdoors and on your shred stick, that’s what it is all about.
