Our friends over at Transworld Snow, John Antoski and Dustin Koop have a rad little blog about art. The magazine also has a section you may have noticed with the same name “Art Attack.” They tap into underground street art to high end ad agency commercials. A Class Five Art Snowboard will be auctioned off at the Kite Boarding for Cancer (KB4C) event on Feb. 14th North on Highway 11 just outside of Regina. The proceeds are going towards a worthy cause and you can also check out some boards being used with kites. Or, get there early and sign up for a lesson and be taught by some of the pros like event founder and kite boarder Aaron Hackel.
The board was hand made in the Class Five Studio and then sent to local Regina artist Jason Robins.
Creating the design for the snowboard for the KB4C auction has special meaning to Robins because cancer claimed the life of his father less than six months ago. The artist is not, however, a newcomer to philanthropy. He has created and donated both paintings and fashion pieces as fundraising items for many local organizations, including the Power of Pink Breast Health Centre, Sophia House, the Regina Adult Learning Centre, the Food Bank, the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, the MacKenzie Art Gallery, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Regina Symphony Orchestra and several area schools.

Board can be viewed the day of the event February 14th or 15th (depending on weather) at event site. Live action starts 9pm the night of the event and closes at 9:20ish. Web bidding closes Saturday February 14th at 9am.

Mark and Craig need to ride everyday. That is why they built a rail setup in their backyard. When they are sitting at home and feel that urge to try a new trick or just slay something they can step out into their backyard and let loose. This vid was put together by none other than Adam Burwell of famed wakeboarding status. His filming skills are damn good too!
